Download Kitcast App on a BrightSign Device

You can run Kitcast on a BrightSign device using a prepared Kitcast app bundle on a microSD card. 

Before you start

You will need:

  • A BrightSign device
  • A microSD card
  • A computer that can access the microSD card
  • An internet connection for your BrightSign device

Note: Not all BrightSign devices have built-in Wi-Fi. Depending on your device model, you may need to connect it to the internet using an Ethernet cable.

Installation steps

  1. Download the Kitcast app bundle here: https://downloads.kitcast.tv/brightsign
  2. Erase/format the microSD card to prepare it for the installation.
  3. Unzip the downloaded Kitcast archive and copy its contents directly to the microSD card.
  4. Safely eject the microSD card from your computer.
  5. Insert the microSD card into the BrightSign device.
  6. Connect the BrightSign device to the internet using Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable, depending on your device model.
  7. Turn on the BrightSign device and wait for the Kitcast app to load.

No additional installation is required—the app is already ready to use from the microSD card.
